Vita Brillanti Charity Event

We’re living in a time of absolute uncertainty, and it’s scary. In an effort to help support charities that need our help the most, along with my own personal donations, I’ve decided to reopen and restock the Vita Brillanti shop. As a functioning small business, I feel strongly about doing what we can to help in this crisis. We will be donating 20% of all purchases to two charities; Specchio dei tempi in Italy, and Meals on Wheels, here in the US.

Hi Friends!
In case you missed it, I started a clothing line last year for Vita Brillanti. You can shop here! Yay! The launch went live on June 7th, and since then we’ve sold out of various sizes, in 3 of the 5 styles available. The sweatshirts – Tony and The OG were the biggest hit, which was anticipated. I knew I wanted to restock if possible, and after some thought late last year, I decided to do it. With this being said, I was originally waiting until mid-April to get the site back up with the available items, but a lot has changed…and the best laid plans…well, you know the rest.

The State of the World
We, by we I mean the world, are in a pretty dismal place right now and it breaks my heart. I find grace knowing that I’m not at all alone in this heart break. Thousands of people are dying around the world, and one of the countries (outside China) being the hardest hit in this outbreak, is Italy. Those of you who follow along on here and via social know my love for Italy runs deep. Witnessing the anguish the county is going through right now is unbearable. Not only do they not have the resources they most desperately need, but their economy is much weaker than that of United States. I feel it’s important to help them in this time of crisis.

I also see the devastation starting to unwinding here at home at home. It’s so unsettling. Small businesses are struggling to stay afloat, kids are not in school, which means they aren’t getting their guaranteed meals every day, and,  most importantly our most vulnerable population of elders are dying because of this virus; they can’t get meals or groceries they so desperately need because they can’t go outside. If exposed their percent chance of surviving is extremely low. This is awful, and we need to rally together to help. With this, outside my own personal donations,  I’ve decided to restock the site, and donate 20% of all sales to two donations I feel strongly about.

Where Your Donation Will Be Sent
10% will be donated to Specchio dei tempi, a non-profit organization located in Piedmont Italy, one of the hardest hit regions in Italy.  The donation will go towards one of three things: medical equipment for the hospitals, assistance to the elderly who will soon face physical and economical hardships, and long distance teaching projects for students of all ages who are missing out on schooling for weeks on end.

10% will be donated to Meals on Wheels. As we enter this time of likely isolation, it’s dire that we keep the most at risk population safe. Citymeals is preparing 200,000 meals in response to the Coronavirus outbreak.  These donations will help give the elderly a life line of nourishing meals during this crisis.

Last but not least,  with every purchase of the Tony Crewneck, or The OG, you with receive a complimentary Tee of your choice; Manarola or Pomodore. Make sure to let me know which tee you want in the special instructions within your cart. Right now, I’m stuck inside, and I feel so helpless. Knowing that it’s possible to help those in need, brings me some peace of mind. We have to take this crisis one day at a time, I know it will pass, but until then, we need to do what we can to help those most in need. Stay healthy <3
