I’m not sure how to properly convey what an amazing week this was for our family. I knew this trip was way out of the scope of what I could properly pull together, and life, as always, got busy, so we literally just gave the planning over to you. I am so very glad we did as you knocked it out of the park.

This felt to me like our last opportunity [as a family] to capture all of us for this many consecutive days. You cannot know how important it was to me that this trip would be memorable, to somehow solidify our family unit one last time before everyone scattered. As we were riding the boat back to the hotel at the end of our fantastic day on Lake Como I said to my husband, “Every day, every city, every dining experience, every hotel, every activity has felt like a new gift to unwrap that exceeded our expectations”. Nothing left us disappointed.

I found myself feeling more relaxed and at ease this week than I have in ages for a couple of reasons:
There have of course been times over the years that we have done lovely trips in the states or abroad just the two of us, and while I always appreciate them, there is often a small shadow of regret that we are not sharing it with the kids. This past week I repeatedly found myself noticing the lack of that shadow – nothing was missing, I was wanting for nothing. We were all making these memories together. So much laughter, so much awe at the beauty and history around us, so much genuine fun.

Finally, as the family trip planner, calendar keeper, scheduler, I always worry that should something go ary, I will feel responsible for the experience being less than we hoped. This time, even having never worked with you before, I had a blind trust that you would make it a fabulous experience. Time and again you proved my trust was well placed with the care and attention you showed in responding promptly to ALL of my questions (sorry there were so many!)

I was never worried anything would fall short.

This is all a long way of saying that I am beyond grateful for the gift you gave us in planning this remarkable trip. With a heart bursting with gratitude, I thank you again,
