Lately life has been more hectic than I care for it to be. My weekends are what I’m living for at the moment and this past weekend was one of those that you look back on and wish you could re-live over and over. It was my brother-in-laws birthday on Saturday so the day was filled with lots of activities. In the early afternoon we took the ferry over to Surf City, NJ, and from there took a small boat to the Honorable William Wall which is one of my favorite things to do during the summer in the city. I natrually wanted to dress the part of a boater chick, so my white culottes from French Connection were a must (similar here, here and here). Later that night we hopped over to Chelsea Piers where we bowled and played arcade games all night – best.night.ever!
To the outfit:
I have to be honest, culottes were a clothing item I thought I would never buy, but after trying them on I was pleasantly surprised at how much I loved them. Comfort is my thing, and these pants were some of the most comfortable pairs I’ve purchased all summer. To top it off I’d just bought this tank top (on sale now!) from Old Navy, which is beyond the point of comfort. The tank is normally long, but since the culottes are high-waisted, it made sense to tie it up in a knot. I love this outfit, if it was socially acceptable to wear an outfit multiple days in a row, I would wear this.
