Chicago in Love
I’ve never been to Chicago, so I was excited when I found out that the Create and Cultivate conference was going to be held there this year. I’m definitely a city girl, which is something I’ve started to realize over the past few years of living in NYC, and arriving to a new city like Chicago was so exciting! There are a lot of things to love about Chicago, the fireworks at the Navy Pier every Wednesday and Saturday during the summer, the architecture, The Bean, the cheese on your fingers after eating Garett’s Popcorn, but I think my favorite part was the Chicago river running right though the city. I’ve never seen anything like it, there were kayakers, water taxi’s and boats floating by while we had brunch on Sunday at The Bridge House Tavern and I think that is when I fell in love with the city. Everyone seemed so vibrant, it was so much fun to be there and I can’t wait to get back there soon!
Knowing we would be doing brunch on Sunday I wanted to bring back these pants that I wore a few weeks back. These culottes are so comfortable and I feel so feminin in them, I knew they would be perfect for the trip! I bought this top from Club Monaco right before we left and pairing the two pieces together created the perfect summer outfit. I wish I bought the top earlier in summer because the light pink color is unlike anything I have in my closet right now, and I may only have a few more weeks where I can wear it as a stand-alone piece without a jacket – looks like it will be on repeat!
